Description
The joyful anticipation of the Messiah's coming is artfully expressed through this charming anthem for younger children. Original lyrics and an optional Scripture introduction provide an excellent opportunity to explore the many names of Jesus. Beginning handbell or handchime ringers will enjoy playing the simple bell part that adds an extra sparkle to this lilting anthem in 6/8 meter. Sound file: ms. 1-39, second ending
This anthem can be sung as a stand-alone piece or may be combined with these two companion pieces: May My Light Shine (CGA1066) and Arise, Shine, Jesus Has Come! (CGA997). Together, the three anthems make a delightful seasonal trilogy or mini-musical especially suited for younger children's choirs.
