CGA1081 Teach Me Your Way
Description
Based on Psalm 86:11-13, this quiet anthem gives children of all ages the opportunity to express their devotion to God: "Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth." Budding two part choirs have a chance to practice part-singing skills when melodies from the anthem's A and B sections are juxtaposed in the final section of the piece. Both the piano and optional C instrument part offer strong support to the melody, consisting mostly of step-wise motion and easy skips of the perfect fourth and fifth. Sound file: ms. 1-end
Voicing: Unison/two part with keyboard, and optional C treble instrument
