CGA1140 Two Psalms for Young Singers
Description
Excellent for younger and middle elementary age choirs, this set of two Psalm anthems, based on Psalm 46:10-11 and Psalm 92:1-3, can be used any time of year. The two pieces, "Be Still and Know That I Am God", and "It Is Good to Give Thanks", contrast one another in mood, tempo, and style. Both anthems employ the use of textual and melodic repetition, coupled with patterns of musical imitation, making them easy for young children to learn and remember. Accompaniment Tracks (CGAC1140) also available.
