CGA1143 Lord, How Wondrous Is Your Song
Description
In a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving, this anthem acknowledges God's wondrous gift of music and its unique ability to communicate messages of peace, hope, and love. A stirring piano accompaniment provides strong support to the flowing melody while a part for violin (or other C treble instrument) adds additional harmonic interest to the mainly unison vocal part. This anthem, commissioned for Helen Kemp and the Children's Choir Festival honoring her 90th birthday, is a superb piece for choirs of older children or choirs combining younger and older children together.
Voicing: Unison/Two-part with piano and optional violin (or other C instrument)
Text: Mark Patterson
Composer: Mark Patterson
