CGA1172 The Heavens Declare the Glory of God
Description
This setting of Psalm 19:1-2 is reminiscent of music from the classical period with its tuneful melody and homophonic texture. The anthem is a splendid choice for beginning the choir year as middle and older elementary age singers can quickly learn the text and melody leaving extra time to polish other musical aspects of the piece. Bright and buoyant, the anthem fits well into any festive worship service or concert setting.
Voicing: Unison or SATB choir, congregation, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 octaves handbells, with optional 2, 3, or 4 octaves handchime choir, auxilliary bells (Petit & Fritsen handbells, tubular chimes, glockenspiel or organ chimes) and oboe
