CGA800 Keep Me as the Apple of Your Eye

Description

The memorable melody is introduced with all voices singing in unison. Following a short middle section with a contrasting melody, the original melodic material returns, sung first in unison and then in canon. The use of the canon adds interest to the anthem and provides a good way for successful part singing. The second part could easily be omitted or played on the flute an octave higher. The text is adapted from Psalms 17: 8.
