CGA847 Adoration
Description
Adoration' brings together two wonderful expressions of praise from two very different times and places. The 'Adoro te devote' is from the 13th century tradition of plainsong, which in its simplicity was sung in an unmetered fashion following the inflection of the Latin text. 'Jesus, I Adore You' is the second verse of a popular praise chorus. Both of these musical expressions of praise rely on a unique simplicity to express adoration to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Centuries, languages and traditions come together in 'Adoration'.
Voicing: Two-part with keyboard
Composer: Terrye Coelho and 13th century French
Arranger: Pat Messick
