CGAF28 Sing the Stories of Gods New People: Twenty-Five More Songs for the Youngest
Description
Includes Book and Accompaniment/Demostration CD
Sing the Stories of God's New People: Twenty-Five More Songs for the Youngest Singers is the third volume of songs for the very youngest singers, ages four to seven, offering twenty-five songs based on stories and writings in Acts, the Epistles, and Revelation. As with the two preceding volumes, this third volume can be used with young choral singers as well as a part of a church school curriculum. The tunes are short and memorable; the lyrics are written in simple language and focus on a key idea in each story. When the story-songs are coordinated with the Revised Common Lectionary, the songs provide an opportunity for young children to provide music for congregational worship that is relevant and meaningful. Included in the collection are piano accompaniments, a CD recording with both a full chorus and accompaniment versions, as well as creative suggestions for teaching the songs.
