CGB1058 Lament
Description
A lament is a passionate expression of grief and mourning. The use of the harmonic minor scale (minor scale with a raised 7th) in Lament evokes anguish and sorrow. The piece is easily programmed for church and would help bring scripture to life, as laments and lamentations are a prevalent expression throughout the Bible. In non-religious settings, the piece can be programmed to express sorrow, recognize crisis, or anytime an evocative minor piece is needed. Ringers and listeners alike will appreciate the emotive journey of Lament.
