The tune, BEACH SPRING, is commonly found in hymnals paired with various texts including “Wash, O God, Your Sons and Daughters” and “Lord, Whose Love Through Humble Service.” This American melody from the mid-1800s is given expressive and sensitive treatment by arranger Karen Buckwalter. Following a quiet and serene opening, it blossoms in the center section with full and beautiful harmonies and then returns to the original serenity of the opening.
