CGB1270 Voyages - Handbell Score
Description
Voyages is an exciting new concert work from Matthew Compton that tells the story of the first voyage of a new sailor! From the foggy sunrise to the busy preparations in the morning, the ship sets sail for a grand adventure! Moments of intensity reflect the raging seas before the sun breaks through the clouds as the ship comes back into port. We hear the captain sing the lovely sea shanty “Leave Her Johnny, Leave Her” and our young sailor friend returns home, teased by the next adventure one last time! While the percussion and vocals are optional, they certainly enhance this show-stopping piece that will leave your ensembles and audience humming long after the performance is done!
