CGB1330 The Lord Now Sends Us Forth (2-3 octaves)
Description
This uplifting arrangement of the Central American folk melody “Enviado soy de Dios” (ENVIADO) is flexible and accessible. The underlying malleted rhythm pattern is very repetitive, making it easy to learn. Techniques abound with martellato, mallets, shakes, and LV. Even though they are optional, the addition of claves, maracas, bongos, congas, and acoustic guitar will not only add energy and spice, they will also help to enhance and reinforce the underlying rhythms for the ringers. “The Lord Now Sends Us Forth” is a fitting piece for worship or concert when the focus is on care for the earth and each other. It will also be a wonderful addition to the festival repertoire, as compatible editions for 2 or 3 octaves and 3, 4, or 5 octaves of handbells and optional handchimes are available. This arrangement was written in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Choristers Guild.
