CGB292 Ballade - 3-6 octaves
Description
This lyrical work, which was influenced by the ballades of Chopin and Brahms, will be perfect for both worship and concert settings. A flowing, lyrical A section, which will need good legato bell technique, begins the work. This is followed by a more lively six-eight section with a return to the A material. Melodic ideas are shared between treble bells and bass chimes for contrast and interest. Ringers and audiences will enjoy this hauntingly beautiful piece.
Voicing: 3, 4, 5 or 6 octaves handbells with optional 3, 4 or 5 octaves handchimes
Composer: Micheal Helman
