CGB557 God Rest Ye Merry

A delightful staccato accompaniment pattern characterizes this lively setting of the familiar carol, first in the mid range and then in the treble bells. The melody is then embellished and presented as a canon before the staccato pattern comes back to end the piece. The staccato notes may be either malleted or thumb-damped.
Voicing: 3, 4, 5 or 6 octaves handbells
Arranger: Judy Phillips
Tune: Traditional English carol
Level: 3
