CGB720 Rejoice! He Is Risen! (2 or 3 octaves)
Description
Energy and joy abound in this original composition featuring a recurring, rhythmic melody in the upper bells, underscored by a steady, LV eighth note pattern in the middle bells. Thumb damping and malleting in the middle and bass bells add to the exciting flavor of the piece. Optional handchimes are used in a secondary melody. The conclusion is upbeat and exuberant. While written for the Easter season, with its subtitle, "Rejoice in the Spirit," it is appropriate any time throughout the church year. The two compatible editions make this piece an excellent festival selection.
