CGC38 Calling All Angels (Score)
Description
This short Christmas chancel drama was concieved as the beginning of a worship service. In the words of Helen Kemp, "the story line embraces the annunciation, the season of Advent, and the Christmas event." The Angel Gabriel, as God's messenger, is given the awesome assignment of thinking of a way to announce to the whole world that the Holy Child has been born. The children's choirs become angel hosts who sing 'Gloria in excelsis Deo!', and inspire the congregation to join with them in singing the hymn, Angels We Have Heard on High. Multiple children's choirs may join together in the presentation, with even the youngest children's choir participating.
