CGE79 Laudamus Te
Description
Joyous and uplifting, this vibrant setting of the familiar Latin text is a concert and festival winner. Set in 6/8, the compound meter is ideally suited to a buoyant style, creating a light, sophisticated dance-like feel. Use of imitation and repetition are employed, along with interesting interplay between the flute and piano accompaniments and the voices. The short phrases, ideal vocal ranges, and rhythmic motives designed to naturally emphasize the stressed syllables ensure a successful experience for young and developing choirs. A Learning Resource Page is included.
Voicing: Two-part with optional Flute
